Project overview
This representative case study describes how a growing organization could structure a Microsoft 365 adoption before migrating email and shared files. It is not a claimed customer engagement and contains no customer-specific results.
Challenges
- Email, shared drives, and collaboration tools are managed separately.
- File ownership and external sharing rules are inconsistent.
- User accounts and permissions lack a documented lifecycle.
- Migration must limit disruption while helping users adopt new ways of working.
Solution
The proposed approach begins with discovery, identity readiness, and information classification. Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive are then mapped to clear collaboration use cases. Access policies, multifactor authentication, sharing controls, migration waves, validation, documentation, and user enablement are planned together so the platform can be operated consistently after handover.
